■ At exactly 9:30 a.m on August 23, 2008, Pantasya ng Bayan's Joyce Jimenez exchanged vows to
her Fil-Am boyfriend Paul Eli Egbalic at Walnut, California.
Joyce revealed that it wasn't love at first when she met Paul 3 years ago. The wedding was solemnized at the San Lorenzo Ruiz church and the reception followed at Country Club in Pomona, California.
Over 200 guests attended. Most of them are from US. She decided to had her wedding in California, because it would be unfair to her bf if it will be held in the Philippines since his family is based in California.
"There will be no honeymoon." joyce uttered. She will stay in California for a couple of days then come back to Manila to accomplish her commitments with Ever Bilena and her husband will remain in the States.
Now that she's already married will Joyce continue her business and showbiz career in the Philippines or will she chooses to settle down in California? We'll see..
To the Newly Weds, Congratulations and Best Wishes! :-)
■ It was Monday night, when the Airforce C130 (with 2 pilots and 7 crewmembers) takeoff from Davao City International Airport for a flight to Iloilo City to pick up Presidential Security Group that were supposedly bound for Manila.
It has been reported that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) has lost its contact with the plane 2 minutes after take off. And lately it was found out that the Airforce C130 has no Black Box. (It is a device where the flight data and cockpit voice are being recorded. and it's responsible for recording all communications in the cockpit of an aircraft.)
Airforce chief Lt. Gen. Pedrito Cadungog said, "the aircraft most probably crashed". Some witnesses said that the aircraft c130 was hit by lightning and others said it maybe a Sabotage. PAF mentioned that it would be easier for them to investigate on what's the reason why the aircraft crashed if they'd only find the propeller, wing/s of the aircraft. Now, the Airforce C130 has been tagged as the "flying coffin". Let us all hope and pray that Philippine Coast Guard in coordination with Philippine Navy, will be able to find the victims. [-o<
■ It will going to be the toughest fight ever for Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Just recently, it has been announced the "Manny Pacquiao-Oscar Dela Hoya" bout which will be held on December 6, 2008 at MGM Grand and Live on HBO Pay-per-View. The bout will be a 12-round at the 147-pound welterweight limit. It will be presented by Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) and Top Rank, Inc.
This will be a test for the People's Champ in his boxing career because his opponent has the reach and height advantage but Pacquiao is confident enough that he will win over Dela Hoya.
Pacquiao has a win-loss-draw record of 47-3-2 with 35 knockouts and has a total fight of 283 rounds. Pacquiao has recently crowned by the Ring Magazine as Pound for Pound Champion.
